Alright, let me tell y’all about my first time getting tumbled smoky quartz. I bought these cool-looking stones last summer of 2020. They came mixed with various other quartz, jaspers, and agates. I wasn’t entirely interested in smoky quartz at the time. However, one of my clients loves the transparent smokey greys and blacks this stone is known for. So, I made her a Mini-Vibes necklace with multiple shades of greys and blacks. Shout out to my homegirl, MizRunItUp!
Smoky Quartz's Meaning and Benefits
My first reaction to the appearance of the stone was pure confusion. I remember asking myself, “did someone accidentally put broken tinted glass in here? It’s true! I nearly threw them away before looking up their identities online. Here’s what I found: Smoky Quartz is attributed to grounding oneself with the supportive powers of the Earth. It’s also used for protection and the absorption of negative energies. Smoky Quartz is generally known to:

Increases focus and concentration.

Connecting with Smoky Quartz
Since smoky quartz is a good stone to wear during times of mindlessness, I’ve decided to put it to the test. I experimented with wearing a smoky quartz pendant at work. Mostly to see if it helps me with remembering shyt. I noticed a huge difference in my clarity and concentration levels while working the cash register. The smoky quartz helped me remember small details like which soups were available near closing time. That’s a win in my book! ~ ¯\_(^_^)_/¯
When it comes to smoky quartz, I must admit that I was sleeping on this powerful stone. Combined with the awesome power of a tourmaline quartz crystal, it is now a valuable addition to my collection.
